How Nextcareer is structured

Here is an overview of each of Nextcareer's main links above:

My Values - helps you explore what most matters to you, what are your values, what motivates you at work, your aspirations, things you do not like in a work environment, the place of important others, how you might change through various life stages and what you want in the way of work-life balance.

What Next - helps you think about your options for the future, how to make career decisions, consider the prospect of making a significant change, taking risks and how to re-frame your understanding of what control you have over your career direction.

My Strengths - explores your strengths, what value you can add to whomever you might work for, the value of seeing them as customers and yourself as a business, looking at self-limiting beliefs that might be holding you back unecessarily, the role of confidence and self-esteem and how to improve in this respect.

Action - this section is all about how to market yourself in ways that best fit your personality. It's not about turning you into a professional sales person, but helping you develop a process and approach that is feasible for you. Practical topics include how to approach interviews and formal assessment processes.

Help - here you will be able to access forums and chat pages to interact with others in the midst of career transitons, share war stories and swap leads. Important to have someone to talk to when there is no one else available. In this section, in addition, you will find a number of quizzes to stimulate your thinking on various career and job search topics.
